Joe Vles, President & CEO Mr. Vles has experience in all phases of business. From 1994 to 2001 he was in charge of operations, warehousing, security and IT functions for a large distribution organization. He became that company's president in 1999. He led the company through significant IT change and diversification.
Mr. Vles states: "Soon after 9/11, we established Pier 34
Solutions, Inc., a woman and
minority-owned software development and project management company. One area of
our business is assisting importers with the requirements for the C-TPAT
initiative of the Department
of Homeland Security. Our background
in security, IT and project management are invaluable in this effort.
We have developed the necessary tools and procedural structure
to assist importers with the successful completion of their applications
for the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) partnership
requirements." |
